Planning Granted – Mixed use development, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Planning permission has been granted on another of our mixed use developments in central Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

JAT-Surv were instructed to undertake a full scope of professional services on this project by one of our established Clients. An existing dilapidated building in a prime central location, JAT-Surv have successfully obtained full planning permission for extension and partial change of use to gain 3 additional residential apartments to the rear and upper floors of this site. In addition to these apartments we were also able to increase the commercial floor space by extending and converting the existing basement area below the front part of the building.

Following a comprehensive measured survey of the property and grounds, we created multiple design schemes looking to maximise the potential of the building and offer our Client a substantial long term return for their investment. We have recently completed the Building Regulation package inclusive of a detailed works specification with fire safety design elements and a much improved fire strategy for the entire building.

Works are due to start in December 2020, further updates will follow.
